St Joseph's School the Strand is the oldest Catholic school in Townsville, catering for students from Prep to Year 7. St Joseph's School was originally established in 1873 by the Sisters of St Joseph.
St Joseph's is part of the Mary Help of Christians Parish in North Ward. The school is situated on Fryer Street (which runs off The Strand) and is close to the central business district.
